5-Day Bible Reading Plan: One Man for the Whole World Devotional

5-Day Bible Reading Plan: One Man for the Whole World
Day 1: The Divine Conjunction - Living on the Right Side of "But God"
Reading: Genesis 50:15-21

Devotional:

Joseph's words to his brothers reveal a profound spiritual truth: "You meant evil against me, but God meant it for good." This divine conjunction changes everything. The word "but" negates all that came before it. When we face betrayal, mistreatment, or injustice, we must learn to live on the right side of this conjunction. People may plot evil, but God has a redemptive plan. Your pit may be someone else's plot, but it's God's platform for your promotion. Stop being a victim of circumstances and become victorious through faith. Whatever evil scheme targets you today, remember that your sovereign God is constantly accomplishing His eternal purpose through it all. Fear not, child of God.

Day 2: The Cost of Keeping Control
Reading: John 11:45-53

Devotional:

The Pharisees feared losing their position, power, and nation if they embraced Jesus. Ironically, they lost everything by rejecting Him. We face the same temptation—holding tightly to control of our lives, afraid that surrender to Jesus means loss. But Jesus said, "Whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it." The very things we fear losing by following Jesus, we actually lose by rejecting Him. Surrender isn't loss; it's gain. When you give Jesus the throne of your heart, you gain forgiveness, salvation, eternal life, and freedom. Stop calculating what you might lose and consider what you stand to gain. True freedom comes through surrender.

Day 3: A Global Gospel for a Dying World
Reading: Revelation 5:6-10

Devotional:

The death of Jesus wasn't limited to one nation or people group. Christ died to redeem people "out of every tribe, tongue, people, and nation." This world is sinking like the Titanic, yet we worry about what song the band is playing. Jesus didn't come to ruin your life—your life was already ruined by sin. He came to give you life, forgiveness, and immortality. The gospel still has power to save the uttermost, reach those in the gutter, and free those bound in sin. At the name of Jesus, demons flee and dead souls come to life. Don't be ashamed of this global gospel. Share it boldly, knowing it is the power of God unto salvation for everyone who believes.

Day 4: Standing on Holy Ground
Reading: Exodus 3:1-6

Devotional:

Wherever the presence of the Lord is, that's holy ground. You don't need to remove your shoes in church, but you do need to recognize you're standing in God's presence. Your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit—you are the sanctuary. This transforms how you live daily. When you wake up, you're on holy ground. When you go to work, you carry holy ground with you. When you face trials, you're standing on holy ground. God's presence changes everything. The same God who met Moses in the burning bush meets you today. Prepare yourself to be a sanctuary—pure, holy, tried and true. Live with the awareness that you dwell in God's presence continually, and let that reality shape every decision you make.

Day 5: Have You Called on Jesus?
Reading: Romans 10:8-13

Devotional:

Salvation comes through calling on the name of the Lord. Not thinking about Jesus, not admiring Jesus from a distance, but calling on Him. "Whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved." There may be times when doubt creeps in about your salvation, but you should never doubt whether you called on Jesus. That moment of surrender, when you recognized your need and cried out to Him, changes everything. If you've never called on Jesus, today is your day. Don't wait. Don't try to work it out on your own. Look up and ask for help. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved. Have you called on Jesus?
