5-Day Devotional: Where Is Your Hope?
Day 1: The Stumbling Disciple
Reading: John 18:15-18, 25-27
Devotional: Peter's denial reminds us that even the most devoted followers can stumble when distance grows between them and Jesus. Notice how Peter followed "at a distance" and soon found himself warming by the enemy's fire, denying the very One he promised to die for. Distance leads to wrong company, which leads to denial. Where are you standing today? Have you created distance between yourself and Christ through neglect of prayer, worship, or fellowship? The closer we walk with Jesus, the less we see distractions around us. Don't put your hope in your own strength—you'll be disappointed. Return to close fellowship with Christ today. He's faithful even when we stumble.
