Day 1: The Stone Is Rolled Away

Reading: John 20:1-2; Matthew 28:1-6

Devotional: The stone was not rolled away to let Jesus out. It was rolled away to let us look in. God has never been afraid of examination. He invites us to weigh the evidence, to study, to search, and to see. The empty tomb is not a symbol or a story. It is a historical reality. Whatever stone of doubt, fear, or unbelief sits at the entrance of your heart today, know that God is not nervous about your questions. Draw near. Look inside. The evidence of a risen Savior is waiting for every honest, seeking soul.

Reflection: What stones of doubt are blocking your full view of who Jesus is? Ask God to roll them away today.

Day 2: The Folded Napkin

Reading: John 20:3-9; Revelation 1:17-18

Devotional: When Peter and John entered the empty tomb, they found the grave clothes lying in a heap and the burial napkin folded neatly and set apart. In Jewish custom, a folded napkin left at the table meant one thing: I am coming back. Jesus did not leave in defeat or disorder. He left a message of intention and authority. His resurrection was not accidental. It was purposeful. The folded napkin declares that death did not win, that the grave did not have the final word, and that the story is not over. He is coming back, and that promise changes everything.

Reflection: In what area of your life do you need to trust that Jesus is not finished? Surrender that situation to Him today.

Day 3: Staying at the Last Place You Knew Him

Reading: John 20:10-12; Psalm 27:13-14

Devotional: Peter and John left the tomb uncertain, but Mary stayed. She lingered at the last place she had known Jesus to be. In her grief and confusion, she did not wander. She waited. Sometimes when life is painful and God feels distant, the wisest thing a believer can do is remain at the last place God spoke clearly. Do not wander in your confusion. Return to His Word. Return to prayer. Return to the place of worship. Wait on the Lord. Those who stay in His presence, even through tears, are often the first to encounter the risen Savior face to face.

Reflection: When was the last time God clearly spoke to you? Return to that place in prayer today and wait on Him.

Day 4: Recognizing the Risen Savior

Reading: John 20:13-16; Luke 24:13-31

Devotional: Mary stood weeping before the risen Jesus and did not recognize Him. She thought He was the gardener. Grief had clouded her vision. Pain has a way of blinding us to the presence of Jesus standing right before us. He is often working in the ordinary moments of our lives, in the pastor's words, in a song, in a conversation, in a quiet morning. The danger is that we dismiss these moments as coincidence rather than recognizing them as the very nearness of God. Open your eyes today. Jesus may be closer than you think, standing in the ordinary, calling your name.

Reflection: Where might Jesus be present in your daily life that you have been overlooking? Ask God to open your spiritual eyes today.

Day 5: He Calls You by Name

Reading: John 20:16; Isaiah 43:1; John 10:27-28

Devotional: Everything changed for Mary the moment Jesus spoke her name. Not "woman." Not a general greeting. He said, "Mary." It was personal, relational, and redemptive. Isaiah 43:1 declares that God has called each of us by name and claimed us as His own. There is a general call that goes out through creation, through Scripture, and through the preaching of the gospel. But there is also a specific, personal call that the Holy Spirit places on individual hearts. If you sense even the smallest drawing toward Jesus today, do not harden your heart. Respond. He is not calling the crowd. He is calling you.
